Defendant-appellant Kaleel M. Ellis d/b/a Honey Creek Motors (Dealer) brings this interlocutory appeal from denial of its motion for summary judgment. On June 10, 1988 Dealer sold a vehicle to Bobby Joe Lawrence. Approximately six hours later, Lawrence was involved in an automobile accident while driving the vehicle. A passenger in Lawrences car - plaintiff-appellee David E. Weger - was injured in the collision. On August 9, 1988, Weger filed a negligence action against Lawrence and Dealer[Footnote 1], seeking damages for his injuries. Dealer filed a motion for summary judgment claiming it had no liability for Wegers injuries. The trial court denied this motion and Dealer appeals, presenting three issues for review, they are:
